A 27-year-old man was found fatally shot April 21, 2020, in an alley in the 10600 block of Calhoun Avenue in South Deering.

While much of the US is at a near standstill during the COVID19 pandemic, gun violence continues as before.  Nine people were shot in Chicago on Tuesday, April 21, in 8 separate incidents.  Three of the victims were killed, five have been hospitalized, and one was treated and released.

The first priority in treating a gunshot wound is to stop the bleeding.  It is now more important than ever to save blood and save lives, as hospitals are facing critical blood shortage due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That is exactly how BloodSTOP iX can help the medical profession: with power to control bleeding, and power to heal.

BloodSTOP iX is the perfect solution for pre-hospital treatment of gunshot wounds. It can bring bleeding under control quickly in an emergency, saving lives, and helping to relieve the stress on blood bank resources.
