A 58-year old male, on blood thinner Eliquis, presented to burn trauma at OSF Hospital with a third-degree, 75% total body surface area: including whole chest, and flank down to buttocks. Burn caused by a grease oil fire. Surgeon used multiple 12-inch x12-inch size BloodSTOP iX Trauma Matrix and forty – 4-inch x 8-inch BloodSTOP iX. Total operation time is 2.5 hours.
