Forty-six people have been shot, four of them fatally, across Chicago over the weekend from May 1-4, 2020.

Gun violence in Chicago last weekend resulted in 4 fatalities and 42 other injuries, more than double the number of shootings from the weekend before.  One shooting was aimed into a large gathering, where 5 males, ages 15-19, suffered non-fatal wounds to their legs.  With tensions high around the country, gun violence seems be on the rise.

The first priority in treating a gunshot wound is to stop the bleeding.  It is now more important than ever to save blood and save lives, as hospitals are facing critical blood shortage due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That is exactly how BloodSTOP iX can help the medical profession: with power to control bleeding, and power to heal.

BloodSTOP iX is the perfect solution for pre-hospital treatment of gunshot wounds. It can bring bleeding under control quickly in an emergency, saving lives, and helping to relieve the stress on blood bank resources.
